Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bestowed, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Our Service

Bestowed provides an online platform for couples to create gift registries and receive monetary contributions from guests. We facilitate the connection between couples and their guests but are not a party to the gifts themselves.

3. Pricing & Fees

Bestowed adds a flat 4% fee on top of each contribution, paid by the guest at checkout. Couples pay nothing to create or publish a registry and receive 100% of every gift.

• ◇Creating and publishing a registry is free for couples.
• ◇A flat 4% platform fee is added on top of each contribution and paid by the guest at checkout. This fee covers secure payment processing (via Stripe) and the running of the platform.
• ◇Couples receive 100% of the gift amount their guests choose to give.
• ◇The minimum contribution is $25, unless less than $25 remains to fully fund a gift, in which case the remaining balance is the minimum.
• ◇A contribution can never exceed the remaining amount needed to fully fund a gift.

4. Payments & Payouts

All payments are processed through Stripe. To receive contributions, couples must connect a Stripe account and complete Stripe's onboarding and identity verification. Funds from each contribution are transferred to the couple's connected Stripe account and paid out to their nominated bank account on Stripe's standard payout schedule. Bestowed never holds couples' funds, and payout timing is subject to Stripe's policies. Guests are not required to create an account to contribute.

5. User Responsibilities

• ◇You must provide accurate and truthful information
• ◇You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• ◇You must not use the platform for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
• ◇Registry content must not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology on Bestowed are owned by us. You retain ownership of content you upload (such as images and descriptions).

7. Limitation of Liability

Bestowed is provided "as is." We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you have paid to us.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
