Refund Policy
Last updated: May 2026
We want every experience on Bestowed to be a positive one. Please read this policy to understand how we handle refund requests and disputes.
1. Contributions Are Gifts
Contributions made through Bestowed are intended as gifts to the couple and are generally final. Because gifts are transferred toward a couple's registry, all sales are considered final and contributions are non-refundable except where required by law or as expressly set out below.
2. The Service Fee Is Non-Refundable
The 4% service fee added to each contribution is non-refundable, even if a contribution is later partially or fully refunded or reversed. This fee covers secure payment processing and platform costs that are incurred at the time of the transaction and cannot be recovered.
3. Requesting a Refund
If you believe a contribution was made in error, you may request a refund by following the steps below. Whether a refund is granted is at the discretion of the couple who owns the registry, and refunds can only be issued before the funds have been paid out and spent.
- ◇Contact the couple directly to discuss a resolution
- ◇If unresolved, email us at info@bestowedweddings.com as soon as possible
4. How Refunds Are Processed
Where a refund is approved, only the gift amount is returned — the 4% service fee and any payment processing, currency conversion, or third-party charges already incurred are non-refundable and will be deducted from the amount returned. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and may take several business days to appear.
5. Unauthorised Charges & Disputes
If you believe a charge is unauthorised or fraudulent, please contact us immediately at info@bestowedweddings.com. We will work with Stripe to investigate and resolve the issue in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws. Chargebacks and payment disputes may incur non-refundable handling fees charged by our payment processor.
